Nancy attended St. Olaf College at Northfield, Minnesota for one year and then transferred to the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana from which she graduated. She married R. Joseph Williamson of Peoria, IL on Oct. 20, 1956. They were blessed with three children: Ann (44), of Peoria IL, a widow and mother of her only grandchild, Janet (17). Susan (44 - Ann's twin), a pediatric nurse living in San Diego, CA, and John (41), a corporate tax attorney in Santa Monica who will receive his LLM in Tax Law this December.

Nancy sang professionally with two religious quartets (Protestant and Jewish) for 17 years. She became employed on a full time basis in 1975 as Executive Director of the Court Counselor Program, Inc., an arm of the court system for first time misdemeanant offenders. Unfortunately, the corporation dissolved after 15 years due to lack of funding. She then became employed by the local Peoria community college as Coordinator of non-credit Adult Programming. She says it was a wonderful ending to 30 years in the work force. She says "I probably enjoyed creating interesting classes for my students as much as attending most of those offered."

Nancy and her husband Joe moved to Palm Springs in the Fall of 1997 to begin their "golden years" of retirement. Sadly, those dreams were tarnished as Joe, her love of 43 years, succumbed to cancer just two years after they settled there. They had purchased a condo in a wonderful community and Nancy made the decision to remain in Palm Springs after Joe’s death. Nancy has become very active as an elected director of the Homeowners Association Board of Directors, is a volunteer at her church, and continues to enjoy the endearing friendships of those with whom she has been privileged to meet in the beautiful desert paradise of Palm Springs.
