After graduation I worked for Joe Armando in Chicago in the Magazine Distributor business. Later, Joe became the Mayor of Fox Lake. In 1953 I went to Long Beach, CA with Jean Robin and my sister Marlene. I stayed on for about one year, working at the phone company one block from where we lived. It was a challenging experience.

I came back to Fox Lake and married Russ Kramer in 1955. We had three daughters. One is living in Indianapolis, IN and two are living in West Palm Beach, FL. The latter I see quite often.

I married Dan Cushing in 1972 still together it’s been great. He was a 20 year man in the Navy when we married. In 1975 we retired from the Navy moved to the Washington DC area. He was an engineer for BB & N (government contract) and I was an Office Manager for the Government. In 1979 we both retired and moved to Naples, FL, near my Mom and two sisters. We had a home built with a pool. We love it! We lived on Eleurtha (Bahama Island) for two years where I did traffic control for RCA who contracted the airline for Navy on the Island. It is very different working in a foreign country, but interesting. We have done some traveling, London, Hawaii (twice) Bahamas, Bermuda and about 45 states.

I now work part time, three days a week and six hours a day for the Parks & Recreation Dept. of Collier County. This is one mile from home and I enjoy it.

I missed the 40^th Reunion because I had a brain tumor removed that year. I am fine now thanks to a great surgeon, neurologist and lots of physical therapy.

I have seen Ruth Becmer, Carla Bales, Peggy Rogers, Barbara Baker, Oral Krueger, Mary Graves.
