After graduation in 1952 I started my carpenter apprenticeship. I started my first house in Grayslake in 1954, sold it and built another in Antioch on Antioch Lake in 1960. That was also sold, and I built two more in Libertyville in 1962/1968 and sold them in 1970. Then I moved to Boca Raton, Florida where we stayed until 1975. While in Boca we built two more homes. In 1975 we moved to Palatine, Illinois.

In 1978 I divorced, but remarried 1980. That marriage lasted seven years. During that time I lived in Rolling Meadows. After that I moved to Wheeling for about ten years. I then bought two "fixer-uppers" in Rolling Meadows, fixed them up and sold one of them. I am still working on the other, and hope to keep it to live in.

Soon after moving to Rolling Meadows the second time, I found the love of my life and married Carol; I’ve never been happier. In 2000 I had surgery for prostate cancer. It is now in remission. On March 15 of this year I had cardiac arrest at home. The paramedics did a wonderful job and after some bypass work every thing is great.

We are looking forward to seeing every one again!
