 I married Clarence Thelen from Johnsburg a year after graduation.  We soon bought a farm just outside of Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  We farmed there and raised our family of four sons and a daughter.  We lived there until January of 1995 when we retired and moved to Bella Vista, which is in the far northwest corner of Arkansas.

Bella Vista is mainly a golfing community, but I’m not a golfer!  Clarence is, and he’s out there hitting that silly little ball 5-6 times a week!  I’m happy doing some the things I never had time to do back on the farm.  We still have our lake house in Wisconsin and spend most of our summers there. 

Our children are all over the country and the lake house is kind or our “meeting place” where we all get together at least once a year.  We have six granddaughters and three grandsons.  Our oldest granddaughter and her husband presented us with a great-grandson in February of 2000.

I keep in touch with Bonnie Sagel via e-mail and since we go to Florida at least once every winter to visit a son who lives there, I get to see her then.
