Security, where I live, is about three miles south of Colorado Springs. I was stationed here in 1960 at Ent Air Force Base. This was just one of my many assignments during my 26 year career with the Air Force. I retired in 1980 as a Master Sergeant.
We fell in love with Colorado and have recently returned here after living for a short time in Joplin, Missouri. We had tours around the states and the world. I’d like to tell folks about our tour of duty in Bermuda where we spent three years. We did have to spend times apart while I was overseas on an unaccompanied tour.
My wife and I had four children, two girls and two boys. We lost the youngest boy and then I lost my wife. I found another wonderful lady and we will be married five years in December of 2001.
After retiring from the USAF, I worked for Goodwill Industries in Colorado Springs for 15 years. I filled the position as Transportation Supervisor and gave that up in December of 1995. The purchase of an older home in Colorado Springs is now our focus, as it is taking lots of TLC and money to refurbish it.
