The past 20 years have seen many changes in my life, in particular, our ever-expanding family. (6 Children - 10 Grandchildren -7 Great Grandchildren)

After working for Burgess Vibrocrafters, Inc. in Grayslake, IL for 27 years, the company was sold and after several months of setting up the production lines for the Boston Company who bought the business, I was out of a job. I was fortunate to find the position of Supervisor of Operations and Facilities at Union Grove High School in Union Grove, WI and spent 13 years there before retiring in 1998.

In June 1998 I had triple by-pass surgery and was grateful that Kenosha has a branch of the Michael E. DeBakey Institute and a very good cardiac care system.  Been doing just fine since the surgery.

In addition to my full time jobs, my wife and I spent 8 years running our farm which included 80 brood sows and a year round farrowing operation which produced between 1500 to 2000 feeder pigs a year. After Burgess was sold we bought two of their products which Boston didn’t want and manufactured lawn mower foggers and engravers for quite some time.  In 1989 we built and operated a car wash in Salem until February of this year.  The other two businesses have also been sold, so now I am officially retired.  My wife and I are still deciding what our next projects will be.
